Name: Eva Anitun/Tina Hearth and Umbra/Crixus

Age: Eva and Umbra were technically ageless. Tina is 8 while Crixus is 7 (or 49 in dog years)
Preincarnation Appearance: Eva appeared as a young girl with pink hair and piercing yellow eyes dressed in a stunning ceremonial dress with a unworldly glow to her. Umbra had two forms, one where he appeared as a eight foot tall black wolf with crimson red eyes of flesh and bone and the other form was similar in size but made his body out of shadows and darkness.
Any differences: Tina has lost her previous incarnations glow and her dress and she also now has blonde hair. Crixus is now a three foot tall mix breed of a German Shepard and wolf.
Preincarnated History: In the beginning, there was only one entity. The all knowing and powerful creator god known as Io. Io soon became tired of its' loneliness and created the world and all that existed on it but this still was not enough as no mortal being could withstand the presence of a god. Eventually, Io created three beings that would act as its' students. The warrior Zansatsu, the healer Serenity, and the scholar Imik. Io gave them all a piece of itself giving Zansatsu is strength, Serenity his spirit, and Imik his knowledge. Zansatsu was driven insane by this power however and tried to rend power from the other two students. As Zansatsu and Serenity fought, their colliding power started to rip the world at the seams before Io stopped their last clash at the price of its' life. Zansatsu used the remains to create the first evil gods while Serenity's tears gave life to the remains to create the first good gods. Imik ended up having to sacrifice his body to save existence from any further fighting between the two and became a specter using the last of his power to breath life into the rest of Io's remains to create the neutral gods.

Thus, the gods and goddess reigned over the whole of existence for ages. Humans were loyal subjects that gave the gods their power through worship and in return the gods played parts in  molding the world for the humans to live in. The realm of gods was divided in multiple ways to preserve the balance between chaos, order, good, evil, and neutrality. Wars broke out between the gods in hopes of tilting the scales of power into their favor. In these wars, there were times that gods would die and thus the strongest warrior or personal apprentice would take over their rule. At the end of one such war, the god of despair, Dirge, was able to kill the goddess of hope, Dia. Sadly, Dia had no apprentice or warrior strong enough to take her title as their own. So some of the gods gathered to perform a ritual that would gather the souls of the departed and with their added power combine the souls to make a new goddess. The goddess that was formed was none other than Eva.

Some of the gods thought that Eva's physical form as a young girl symbolized weakness and decided to create a guardian for her so she would not also fall at the hands of an evil god. They called forth their magics to form a body of shadows and breathed life into it to form the monstrous hound Umbra. At first, Umbra was a simple construct of the elements with little to no will of its' own when it was presented to Eva as a guardian. Eva came to hate the fact that Umbra was almost mindless and eventually used her magics to forcefully create a soul for him. The following ages were filled with Eva using her divine magics to heal the damage caused to the realm of humans by the murder of Dia while Umbra protected her from the shadows. In these ages, the two of them grew close and eventually even saw each other as family.

However, the age of gods came to a close when two sides ended up releasing the ancient students of Io, Zansatsu and Serenity. Eva and Umbra moved to defend the mortal realm while fighting Dirge. Dirge's onslaught was hard on both of them as they had to use a fair portion of their power to keep the mortal realm from being ripped apart but in the end Eva and Umbra were able to defeat the despair god but they were heavily wounded as a result. Finally, the grand tree which breathes life into the mortal realm, the Iifa Tree, was damaged by Zansatsu and Serenity's clash. Knowing the mortals would die if it wasn't fixed, Eva offered the rest of her power as well as her life force to heal the Iifa Tree resulting in her death. Umbra started to slowly die once Eva drew her last breath and stood guard of the tree with the remainder of his life to make Eva's sacrifice not go in vain. In the end, while the gods all fell and Zansatsu and Serenity died on each others blades the combined sacrifice of Eva and Umbra allowed some of the mortals to survive the end of the gods.

Reincarnated History: Tina Hearth was born to a poor family in the slums of the city. Her father, Michael, had died before her birth in a car accident and her mother, Diane, had a severally weak immune system. While Diane taught and loved Tina with all her might, her health continued to fail and she finally died when Tina was only five. Tina put into a foster care system where she spent the next two years of her life. Tina didn't like it as it reminded her of what she had lost so when she was seven she sneaked out late and ran away.

Crixus was born through the mixed breeding of a German Shepard and a wolf to be a guard dog. His breeder however passed away and Crixus was sent to the pound. As no one wished to adopt an animal as potentially dangerous as Crixus he was eventually scheduled to be put down. Thankfully, an old man named Alex Taner saved Crixus. Alex adopted Crixus to be his companion in his last moments. Alex spent hours just talking to Crixus, caring little if Crixus actually understood him. He went on about his life and the lessons he had learned. Eventually, Alex's heart gave out and Crixus took to the streets to avoid being put in the pound again.

It was at this time that Tina ran into Crixus. As intimidating of an animal as Crixus was Tina wasn't afraid of him and instead somehow knew he was lonely like her. She started to take care of Crixus the best she could as a young girl with no parents or home. Crixus eventually recognized Tina as his new master and the two of them started their new lives as street rats.

First Echo: Their first Echoes were unlocked when they were attacked by the Vermini. Crixus gained sentience and ended up defending Tina at the cost of a bad injury while Tina regained basic use of her positive energy spells to heal Crixus.
Preincarnation Personality: Despite her appearance, Eva was a very intelligent and wise deity. Not to say that she was the smartest of all the deities but she was mature for her apparent age. She would whisper words of hope and inspiration to scholars and rebels every few decades to revive the spirit of the mortals. She also liked to have debates with other gods and had an immense loved for riddles, which helped her get in the good graces of the goddess of chaos, Eris.

Eva was a kind and gentle being that never could bring herself to use her power to harm another being. She felt for all forms of life no matter who they were. She even cried for Dirge as she knew that the weight of his title had driven him insane long ago from sheer sadness. Even in their last battle, Eva had tried to convince Dirge to stop and back down and when Umbra killed him Eva cried for Dirge. Eva's natural empathy allowed her to see things inside others that most would over look which lead her to believe there is some form of good in all beings.

For Eva, there was no greater pleasure than seeing someone smile after going through a rough time. As the goddess of hope, she relished in seeing people overcome hardship. On the same end though, Eva hated to see the weight of the world crush someone and cause them to give up. She felt their pain as if it was her own. She tried with all her power to keep all the beings in existence smiling but at the same time she knew it was impossible for everyone to be happy. This sad fact never stopped her though. If anything, she saw it as a personal challenge stating the hope would save all.

Umbra was given only so much intelligence as he was originally made as a simple minded weapon to protect Eva. Even after Eva opened his mind and gave him spirit, Umbra was exceedingly stupid. For example, Umbra's speech was very broken and he never was able to grasp the concept of words like 'I', 'you', or 'me' instead referring to even himself by name. He was easily confused and Eva often had to dumb down things for him, sometimes even having to dumb down the dumb downed interpretation.

Umbra was an honorable fighter who battle as not only a display of might but a test of being. He hated fighting those he knew to be weaker than him, feeling that fighting them left a stain on his honor as a fighter. He even created an alternate form for himself that contained only a portion of his full strength so he could fight those weaker than him on a more even level and prolong the fight. When he met a worthy opponent on the other hand, Umbra would test them in his weakened form by attacking them ferociously, caring little for any harm his tactics would cause to himself, before releasing his full power against them.

Umbra was insanely overprotective of Eva. At first, it was his only reason for being as it was programmed into him during his creation. However, when he gained consciousness from Eva his protective nature grew and grew. It eventually got the the point that causing physical harm to her or making her cry was enough cause for him to release his full power on the source of her injuries. His overprotective nature even caused him to attack and nearly kill several of the gods.

Any differences: Tina's intelligence is quite a bit lower than Eva's for multiple reasons. The first reason is obvious as Tina is not a goddess thus does not come with the naturally high intelligence of a deity. She is also very young and has little to no formal education. Tina has a little bit of street knowledge but this is more experience from living on the streets for a year. She is crafty more than anything, having to find ways to steal food and not get caught every day for every meal is not an easy task after all.

Tina has slight eschewed morals due to her time living on the street. She still has some morals from the lessons that Diane was able to teach her, such as manners and a few base lessons, but she sees no problem with stealing.  To her, stealing is a part of life so she has no real idea that it is bad. She also doesn't have Eva's disdain for hurting others and is willing to hurt another if push comes to shove.

Tina is used to having problems and she has become very optimistic to keep herself from getting depressed on a day to day basis. As such, it is very hard to upset Tina and she seems to be on a permanent sugar high. She is always energetic and smiling even in the face of certain danger. If there is a time that Tina actually gets depressed things are certainly bad and she tries to keep up her smile and good mood though it will grow faker by the second as long as she is depressed.

Crixus is now the smarter of the duo thanks to his time  listening to the tales of his previous master, Alex. He remembers several of the lessons that Alex talked about and sometimes imparts the wisdom he gained from Alex to Tina. However, this has the added effect of making Crixus a bit of a smart ass. He likes to play around with people, including Tina, whenever he can. Seeing if he can get under someone's skin is a usual pass time for him. This said, Crixus is still an animal that only recently attain sentience so while he can remember Alex's tales there are still things he gets wrong, such as certain phrases or sayings.

Crixus is rather mischievous from living off the streets with Tina. He understands that most people will be intimidated by his looks and uses this for his own amusement as he thinks humans look funny when they are scared. This also makes Crixus more defiant than Umbra which causes him to even have stand offs with Tina. In the end though, it only a joke as Crixus is not naturally violent or angry towards others. He only becomes actually violent or malicious towards those that try and those close to him.

Crixus is a stubborn animal and believes that he is justified in nearly all his actions. He rarely feels that he has overstepped a line even when he clearly has. This usually leads to Tina having to yell at him just to realize he has done something wrong. Thus when Crixus actually apologizes for his actions it is rather heartfelt, though it rarely sounds that way. He also almost never backs down from what he believes. It takes quite the argument to change something that Crixus believes in and in most cases it is better to not even try and change his opinion as it will save you a lot of wasted time.

Abilities: 
Eva's abilities are magically inclined and have several different uses and properties.
-Divine Aura: Eva had a aura that gave her a very powerful calming  and uplifting presence. It also had the property of releasing waves of positive energy that could mend minor wounds and invigorate others as well as stimulate growth in plants.
-Positive Energy Spells: Eva had no offensive spells. Instead, she was a master of healing spells of all sorts. She could mend bones, close wounds, take away ailments, and energize others with her spells. Her highest level of healing spell could heal those with normally fatal wounds though she could not raise the dead. She could also inspire growth and fertility with plant life.
-Empathy: Eva could feel the emotions of individuals or groups of people within a certain radius as strongly as she could feel her own.
-Reality Bending: As a goddess, Eva had slight control over reality. This mostly translates as the ability of magically defying the laws of physics and common sense. For example, Eva could walk on water, seemingly teleport, and create literal 'sun'-flowers. Her highest form of this though is to temporarily create her own pocket which boosts her reality bending to allowing her to literally change the pocket dimension at will. These abilities are directly based on the power of her imagination.
Umbra's abilities are mostly physical based.
-Enhanced Senses: As a wolf, Umbra had heightened senses of smell and hearing to the point that his sense of sight was not his primary way of detecting things around him.
-Super Strength: What it sounds like. Umbra's strength was high enough to rival even some of the greater gods of their world making him basically a walking natural disaster.
-Super Speed: Umbra in his base form is able to run at speeds that can break the sound barrier. In his true form, Umbra can top at mach 2.2.
-Super Endurance: It is very hard to cause real injury to Umbra as he could be hit by a truck and barely flinch. This more important though to keeping him from destroying himself from the exertion of his own speed and strength. This also makes Umbra able to keep fighting even after suffering levels of damage that would be fatal to almost anything else.
-Regeneration: Umbra pulls power from Eva on a near constant level which causes him to have a major level of regeneration, to the point of being able to survive having half of his face blown off.
-Frightful Presence: Umbra has a presence similar to Eva's but far lass powerful, simply giving of a massive feeling of raw power. However, Umbra can burst his presence outwards to cause an effect of fear to those with weak will.
-True Form: Umbra had his weakened form which gave him the appearance of a massive demonic wolf but his true form was something else entirely. Umbra's true form is made of shadows and pure energy and makes all of his physical abilities increase greatly. He also can work as a non-solid allowing him to morph and twist as if made of some kind of liquid. There are drawbacks though as this form's power is dependent on how dark it is around him. In little light he can be extremely powerful but if it is a clear sunny day his power drops dramatically. He also is weaker to light based spells and certain enchanted weapons or attacks.
Roleplay Sample – Third Person: 
(The two had been walking for some time now. The police had found the place they were using as a home a few days ago and they needed to find a new roof over their heads. But when your an eight year old girl and a half wolf/German Shepard, you find yourself low on cash. They enter the red light district as they stumble on. Finally, Tina's stomach growls.)

Crixus! Can't we stop for a bit? I'm hungry and tired. Where are we even going? Can't we stop for a bit and take some food from nearby?

I told you Tina. We need to find a new den to be safe before we try to get food. And it is dangerous to sleep in these alleys.

Den? What's a den?

(Crixus turns to Tina who looks at him in confusion.)

Our territory...Our place of retreat...Our hideout?...Our home?

OH! A new home! Why didn't you say that first?

...Whatever. Let's keep moving...Hold on a second.

(Crixus moves into a nearby abandoned building and scopes it out. He is quiet in thought as he thinks over if this is a good hideout. It was in disrepair and rather old but seemed solid enough. Crixus turns to comment to Tina but she is gone. Soon he hears a distinct "Weeeee!!!" as Tina slides down a pole that leads from the net floor up.)

That was so much fun! This place is awesome! I say we stay here! Now! Let's get some food!

(Crixus just rolls his eyes a little and nods. If Tina was happy with it then that was enough. And it would stop her from complaining for a bit. Food was more important now.)

(The feed starts to show Tina and Crixus in their abandoned wreck of a house. Tina is looking curiously at the screen while Crixus is off to the corner looking away in what appears to be anger.)

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could help us. We're having food problems at the moment as the usual meat vendor we steal from has been getting better at catching us.

About time really. You think he'd get better at it faster as it has been almost a full year of us stealing from him.

I guess that's true. So! We need a new person to take from. And they have to sell meat. Crixus made that clear. It's funny. He's even pickier than me!

I am a wolf! I need meat! We've been over this Tina! But she has a point. Any of you know a good target? We need a bit from each run as it is for me and Tina...Mostly me though. She can eat those plants she enjoys so much if need be.
